Over the years I have accumulated a
lot of
information about the HMCS Kootenay
from
many sources. I thought a centralized
website would be a great means to share this
information
with everyone who has been touched by
the tragedy or may have an interest.

My name is Patti Christie. My father
was aboard
the HMCS Kootenay on October 23,
1969.
He never
talked about this disaster, but we all
knew the tragedy
of that day was difficult for him.
He came
home a very different
man, husband, father, son, brother
and uncle.
